Here we are, December is over and we have had very little snow. What is the deal? Christmas was green, and the month overall was very warm. Let’s just remember that December is just the first month of winter; we still have January, February and March to make it through until we have made it to spring.
Now I want to make sure that everyone knows, I am not a meteorologist, nor do I claim to be one. But listening to those who are, it sounds like the second half of winter will be different than the first half. They are expecting the weather pattern to change around midwinter. The El Niño weather pattern that we are in is suppose to go back to normal, which would bring us to more winter like weather. Since we are not there yet, we will have to just wait and see what it holds.
In the mean time, patience will be needed if you like snow, and if you do not like the snow, I would say enjoy the little snow that we have had so far this winter. But like I said, it is the beginning of January, we have plenty of winter left.
